Theography is the study of God and dance. Founded and trademarked by Venetia James, this particular genre illustrates the gospel of Jesus Christ through movement and communication. Being eclectic, Theography fuses many different styles of dance together. Some examples are modern, jazz, African Caribbean, and contemporary. In addition, it incorporates a variety of forms of communication such as sign language, theatre, speaking, gestures, props, and more. Theography consist of three main components: Theology, Apologetics, and dance.

Ascension presents theography dance presentations at church services, gospel entertainment events and concerts, weddings, retirement celebrations, birthday celebrations and much more.  In fact, we will choreograph specialized dance selections as requested.  For more information about booking Ascension for your next event, submit a request through our “contact us” tab of this website.
